There are several causes that can stop a domain transfer from a provider to another. Here is a short list of the potential "errors" you can meet during a domain transfer.
- Cancelled - cannot obtain domain contacts from Whois: The system could not recover all the information from Whois. You have to contact the old provider to update the heading data and then communicate them to the new provider that will start the transfer again.
- Cancelled - Invalid EPP/authorization key - Please contact current registrar to obtain correct key: The Authorization code (AuthInfo / EPP code / AuthCode), is invalid. You have to contact the old provider to get a new one.
- Cancelled - Domain is locked at current registrar, or is not yet 60 days old: The domain can be locked and cannot be transferred. You have to contact the old provider to unlock the domain. The error can also point out that the domain has just been registered with another provider and cannot be transferable for the following 60 days.
- Cancelled - Domain is locked at current registrar: The domain is locked and cannot be transferred. You have to contact the old provider and unlock the domain.
