A domain is set to Client Hold status when it fails to pass the WhoIs verification procedure required by ICAAN, the international authority in charge of managing domain names. The domain will be suspended until this procedure is carried out successfully.
ICAAN may request a verification from the registrant of a domain in the event of:

New registration of a domain with generic extension (.com, .net, org, .info)
You will receive an email from ICAAN in which you're asked to confirm the email address provided during the registration process. This operation must be completed within 15 days of receiving the message. If the email is not delivered correctly or you fail to follow the instructions to proceed with the verification, the domain will be temporarily suspended. In this case the registry will automatically configure the temporary NameServers. As soon as you validate, the registry will automatically configure the NameServers indicated at the time of registration.

Change of heading data of a domain
Following the request for modification of any heading data of your domain, you will receive, on the e-mail address provided during the registration process, a message with a link on which you must click in order to proceed with the eventual changes. The verification process must take place within 7 days of receiving the email.
In both cases, you will not be able to use your domain until you complete the validation procedure.
If you don't receive the validation email, we recommend to check that the message has not been redirected to the spam folder and then to request for the email to be sent again, following the procedure described in your area customer.
